The past week has been jam-packed with fun and excitement. The highlights:
- Innocent Australian bystanders nearly became innocent Australian roadkill as I drove for the first time down here. I was not impaired in any way, and I had my contacts in (I am almost legally blind without them. Okay yes, I wore thick glasses when I was a kid....along with braces and headgear. So what. I was the coolest kid. At least in the online computer-gaming world. And on Yahoo Spades, where I would go up against 80-year-old grandmothers daily in heated card battles). But everyone here drives on the opposite side of the road. And the steering wheel is also on the opposite side of the car. It was one of the most frightening and disorienting 10 minutes of my life.
- So I've now been taking the local bus. And buses cost $6 to go about 10km. Please buy some t-shirts.
- On Tuesday I accidentally sat on a baby lizard and killed it.
- On Wednesday we lost in our Recreational League Game.
- On Thursday we lost in our preseason game for the Rollers.
- Obviously these two losses were caused by the bad karma I've bestowed upon myself and anyone who associates with me, all stemming from that unfortunate moment in time when my bony behind met, and crushed, the life and soul of a helpless infant reptile.
- I have been cursed.
- Meanwhile as I sit here alone in the dark in my apartment with this terrible burden, my roommate is off being all famous for his reality TV show:

As for me, I must rid of this curse, and make a sacrifice to the Lizard Lords. Until then, it would be in your best interest not to get near me....
