Tomorrow night we play a top team in the 1st Division, Skallagrimur, in a home "Cup" Game. All twelve Express League (the top division) teams play in the Cup along with the top four 1st Division teams.
All our games can be followed via live stats on this webpage: www.kki.is (it's in Icelandic but if you look in the top right you will see a live scoreboard). We play at 19:15 GMT (3:15pm EST).
In other exciting news, I survived my second game as a ref. This time around was much easier, as I was dealing with 10-year-old girls (the first game was 8-year-old boys. The deceivingly innocent, blonde-haired monsters were ruthless. Every call I made was met with dissatisfaction and the occasional death stare. I got out of there as quickly as I could after the game in anticipation of a gang of pissed-off, pre-pubescent hoopers waiting for me in the parking lot). The girls were much better, as during the game they would stop and engage in conversation, play with each other's hair, and give the ball to the other team just to be nice.
Also, highlights from our game on Thursday:
